8 Months

Baby boy is 8 Months! How could it be!? He is getting sooo big. I literally get tired holding him now! I was having a pain in my neck and down my right side after Christmas break and finally put it together that it was from holding him so much, ha! Here are 8 tidbits for 8 months...

1. He is loving almost every table food we have tried! Loves noodles, carrots, pears, etc. 

2. No one can make him smile like his sister. He almost breaks his neck looking for her if he hears her

3. Words I will never use to describe him...a good sleeper. :) 

4. Loves peek a boo...especially when I hide under his high chair and tickle his legs and then pop up

5. Starting to make sounds that sound like words...most often is "da da"

6. Loves kisses on his neck and inner thighs

7. He is one big boy...almost 20 lbs. he is not missing any meals and still wakes up to nurse! I know, not good (refer to #3) he is already a mama's boy!

8. Favorite things...his toes, his jumper, eating/nursing, Lilian, pulling hair, trying to touch the ipad/phone, putting things he is not supposed to in his mouth, sleeping on his tummy, and cheese ravioli. 

Graham continues to be one chill, happy baby! I keep saying I hope this demeanor follows him throughout his life! 

I think he is starting to look more like Brian a lot of days, yet, I still see a lot of Curtis in him too. I looked back and found some pictures of Curtis the other day. I attached one below. The verdict is still out on who he looks more like!

Lilian Turns 4

Our baby girl is four years old! Wow! It doesn't seem possible that four years have passed since she made us a family. Here are her stats from her four year well visit...
Height 40 inches (56%) We were pleasantly surprised at this!
Weight 32.8 lbs. (31%)
I saw a fun idea on Pinterest to give your child a survey on their birthday starting at age 4 and thought we should begin this tradition with Lilian. Here were her responses...it will be fun to see how these evolve over the years (now let's hope I can remember to continue to give it each year!)

Curtis Turns 6

Curtie Bert is 6 years old! He is in kindergarten this year (he actually has one of my childhood friends as his teacher so I get to keep good tabs on him!) He is such a loving soul with so much personality! Love that boy! He had his party at the newly renovated Blue Springs movie theater. All the kids saw "Nut Job." Brian and Lilian went to the movie with everyone and Graham and I met them afterwards at the theater to watch Curtis open gifts and have cake and ice cream. It was a great spot for a birthday party! I told Alison I will totally look into having a party there in the future! Happy birthday, buddy! We love you!

Teddy Bear Sleepover

Grain Valley had their first annual Teddy Bear Sleepover event this weekend! I read about it on-line and thought it sounded adorable so we signed Lilian and Amelia up to join the fun! Friday night the girls picked a stuffed animal friend to take with them to the Grain Valley Community Center. Although it was called a teddy bear sleepover you could pick any stuffed animal friend. Lilian picked her Lamby. The girls enjoyed doing some crafts, coloring, a snack, and reading a few books (including a favorite We're Going on a Bear Hunt!) then the girls left their stuffed animals for the night for their slumber party. Lilian gave Lamby a big hug and told him to be good and reminded him that she would see him in the morning!














At 9:00 on Saturday we went back to enjoy breakfast (donuts and juice) while watching a slideshow of pictures detailing what all the stuffed animals did together during their slumber party. They had quite a good time at their slumber party and the girls thought all the pictures were hilarious!
