GV Lighting Ceremony

Lilian was asked by her preschool friend, Harper, to help turn on the Christmas lights for the city of Grain Valley Thursday night at their annual ceremony. Harper's daddy is the mayor of Grain Valley. The girls got to visit Santa in his beautiful workshop, visit with Frosty and Rudolph, and enjoy hot chocolate and popcorn! At 6:00 the girls went to the pavilion in the middle of Armstrong Park and after a countdown led by Zeke (from country radio station 104.3) the girls pushed the candy cane handle up which turned on all the lights in the park, including the Mayor's Christmas tree. It was a pretty special event to be a part of! The girls were featured on the front page of the paper the next day too! Such a fun, special memory for sis!
