Spring Break

We had an awesome spring break filled with play dates, starting tball for Sis, trip to the zoo, lots of playing outside, eating out, and relaxing....just what we needed! Here is our week in pictures...

Lilian Turns 5!

I am still in shock that our baby is five years old! Where has the time gone? I feel like five is such a huge change from four...she is really a "big girl" now! This will be the year she starts kindergarten, how can it be?! She had a fabulous birthday! On the actual day the stars seemed to align for her. It just so happened that at school,there was a spirit day, "Dress as your favorite movie character." Of course, she was in full Dorothy get up! Then, Brian and I surprised her at school during lunch time and brought her lunch. She was so surprised and it was adorable having lunch with her preschool buddies. The cafeteria was decorated with balloons for Catholic School Spirit Week, however, pretty sure someone thought they were there for her big day, ha! She had dance that night, one of her favorite places, and then got to choose her birthday dinner, Culver's. I made her a strawberry sprinkle cake for dessert so we enjoyed that after dinner. It was all around a pretty big day for Miss Lilian! We love you more than you could ever know, sweet girl!

Princess Party

Lilian and I went to the Grain Valley Princess Party on Saturday with Kristie and Sadie. Her pals, Riley and Lainey were there too! They had cute stations set up for all the little princesses: make a wand, candy cake walk, dance party, etc. There were older girls dressed as all the princesses reading stories to the girls and taking pictures with them. She loved dressing up and wearing her fancy princess shoes!

Two Firsts

A cold weekend in January we had two family firsts. Lilian was invited to her first real sleepover at her friend, Sadie's, house on Friday night. She has stayed at cousins's houses before and once at Amelia's the night before I was induced with Graham (which is basically family), so we were not sure if she would be successful the whole night or not. They went to the GV Community Center together for the Teddy bear sleepover and left their Teddy bears for the night. Then they went to dinner and home to watch Malificient. Kristie sent me cute pics throughout the night and said she was doing great! The next morning she said right before bed she thought she might have to call me because sis got scared during the movie, but she recovered well! We love that she has a great neighbor friend to start Kindergarten with next year (I am not prepared to have a Kindergartner!)












After the sleepover we picked Lilian up Saturday morning and took Graham for an impromptu first haircut. It was getting a little wild and B was ready for him to get a trim. I was willing to wait, not wanting to let go of his sweet, baby curls, but Mama gave in. One of my mom's best friends, Marilyn, works at Beauty Brands and happened to be working on Saturday when I ran in to get some shampoo....hence the impromptu. Since we had just been talking about it I figured it was a sign that we should go ahead and get a trim. He did better than expected and only got squirmy at the very end. He looks like such a big boy now! I should have done before and after pics. It took me a couple days to come to terms with it, he looked so different!

Christmas 2014

Memories from Christmas...
Lilian's favorite gifts...her Santa gifts which were a stuffed Rudolph whose nose lit up, Frozen slippers, Peter Rabbit house (which G now loves too), Puppy Surprise, and Vet kit
Graham has a recent obsession with cars....his favorite gift by far was a brown, Scoobie Doo truck that he can push and it rolls over things...he is obsessed! He also loves the mini Mickey Mouse books he received.
Sadly enough Lilian was sick on actual Christmas Day. Christmas Eve night she was great. My parents came over and we had an appetizer dinner, need gifts, made cookies for Santa, and put out our reindeer food. Everyone went to bed excited for Santa. Around 11:00 she came up to our room saying her tummy hurt. We thought it was just anxiety for Santa's arrival or a sneaky way to get a look at if he had visited yet. However, a few minutes later she was getting sick. Poor baby. This went on throughout the night and the whole next day. She laid around all day and it was so sad to watch our girl feeling badly on such a special day. After 48 hours she was back to her chipper self! We were able to make it up to Iowa a day late to celebrate with family. Here are some of our favorite Christmas pics...
