Welcome Summer

We have been loving our lazy days of summer this June. The only thing that would make it sweeter was if Brian was not teaching summer school, however, he will be home with us in July so we are enjoying our days and saving some fun events to do with daddy once he is home, too. Our days have been filled with library trips and story times, zoo trips, walks around the trail and Burr Oaks, picnics at the park, lots of pool time at Grammy and Pop's and a few dips at our neighborhood pool too. This summer has been so much different than last when Graham was just weeks old. Now he is into everything and enjoying all our play dates so much more! I am reminded every summer why I love my job so much...the summer months that I get to spend with my precious babies cannot be beat. I feel very fortunate to have this time with them and am enjoying every minute (especially the naps Graham takes on me still from time to time).

Graham's Baptism

Not only did Graham have his big ONE birthday on May 24th, he was also baptized that evening! It was one special day for our little man! He was baptized at Timothy Lutheran by Pastor Rod at the 6:00 service. It was an amazing service complete with lighting a candle for Graham, saying a prayer in his honor, baptizing him in front of the whole congregation (which he did awesome!), and a special treat was our friend, Justin Cooper, happened to be singing at church that evening. We were blessed to have my brother and Alison as his Godparents so they were also part of the ceremony. Both sets of grandparents and Mark, Leanne, Andrew and Lauren were also there for the ceremony. We are beyond blessed to have such a wonderful family that love Graham! After the baptism we went to dinner and ice cream and as Lilian says, "had a slumber party with grandma and grandpa!" It was one exciting, eventful, memorable day for Mr. Graham!

Lilian's Dance Recital

On Sunday, June 1st Lilian had her second dance recital. She has been taking dance all year on Thursday nights with her teachers, Miss Cassie and helper Miss Brooke. She has met lots of super sweet girls from her class, that has definitely been the best part for us! She has enjoyed learning the dances they performed...a jazz dance to the song Happy, and a tap dance to the song, Chocolate. The girls were adorable as ever up on stage with their cute outfits and were hamming it up! Great job, Lilian! We love watching how much fun you have up on stage! Grandma and Grandpa even drove in just for the recital!
